Chicago Bulls

If only the Chicago Bulls were not reluctant to pull off a major trade. Most of the primary core players on the Bulls have been with the team for at least four seasons. Each year has presented playoff appearances, but each run all ended in the second round or worst. Each season there is that notion that they are close. Each season the Bulls wind up eliminated by a team with greater talent or upside.

Ideally, a team would go through a slight makeover. The only key player removed from the Tom Thibodeau coached team, which advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals is Carlos Boozer. He was replaced by Pau Gasol. The emergence of Jimmy Butler is leveled out by the deterioration of Derrick Rose. So much for luck. The Bulls are still waiting for Rose to return to MVP form. That is far from happening.

A ballsy move by the front office should be the highest on every fan’s wish list. This current Bulls roster is not working.

With several reports stating that the Bulls have inquired about the availability of Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins, it appears that they might be open to the idea of breaking things up. Adding Cousins would give the Bulls the franchise center they have never had. It would all mean nothing if they cannot make a deal.
