Baltimore Ravens rookie Carl Davis got the rookie treatment, when he had to pay for his team’s dinner.
In what has become a classic tradition in the NFL, rookies every year have to pay for a dinner for their team. This isn’t just a trip to the local McDonald’s or Burger King, this is usually a trip to the finest steakhouse in town, which means the bill is going to be very hefty for a rookie on a rookie salary.
Baltimore Ravens rookie Carl Davis was the unlucky recipient of this year’s team bill. The nose tackle and his teammates went out to a steakhouse, where the team presumably ordered a lot of meat and a lot of alcohol. The alcohol came with a $700+ alcohol tax, which means there was a lot of drinking going on.
When it came time to pay the bill, Davis was blown away at just how much he had to pay for his team, which ended up being a whopping $11,561.52.
Everyone likes to stick the young man with the fresh paycheck with the tab, but the Ravens really made sure to go all out with their dinner this year.
Hopefully Davis has made sure to save up a good portion of what he has been making, because his teammates didn’t make dinner cheap for him.
