Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson believes Odell Beckham Jr. should be on the field for Sunday Night Football.

The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants will square off in a big game this week on Sunday Night Football, in a game that will feature plenty of playoff implications for both teams. The Vikings are fighting for their division, while the Giants are fighting for theirs and will need a great deal of help to get in.

With a big game and both teams needing to be at their best before facing off in front of a national audience, the Giants will be without one of their key players in Odell Beckham Jr., who had his suspension upheld by the NFL on Wednesday, after he made several dangerous moves against the Carolina Panthers’ Josh Norman.

While Beckham Jr. won’t be on the field, one player that will be on Sunday, believes he should be. Asked about the suspension of Beckham Jr., Vikings running back Adrian Peterson doesn’t believe a suspension is warranted and that Beckham Jr. should be out on the field on Sunday night, competing with his team against the Vikings.

Peterson told the Minneapolis-Star Tribune that he reached out to Beckham Jr. after the incident.

"“I like both of those guys. Both of those guys are great football players in my eyes,” Peterson told the Star-Tribune. “It got physical out there and to me, the way I play, I like that. Both of them, did it kind of get out of hand maybe on one play each? Yeah. But my personal opinion, I don’t think it warranted a suspension. But that’s my one opinion.”"

Peterson has always been a popular player among his fellow players in the league, which makes sense why he would want to reach out and speak to Beckham Jr. about what happened.

While many agree with the suspension and Beckham Jr. has come out since and agreed with it as well, the game between the two on Sunday, will feel like it’s missing something without Beckham Jr. on the field.

Peterson, who is one of the superstars of the game, knows this and he knows that without a fellow superstar on the other side of the field, things just won’t have the same feel to it as they normally would in these situations. Beckham Jr.’s suspension may have been upheld and widely agreed with, but Peterson doesn’t feel it is warranted.
