Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets

Brad Stevens looked like a questionable hire out of Butler University a few seasons ago, but he has helped lead the Boston Celtics out of the NBA’s cellar and into the light of relevance. The Celtics are now 15-13 but surprisingly the No. 10 team in the competitive Eastern Conference.

Isaiah Thomas has proven to be a great addition to the Celtics at point guard, leading the team in scoring with 21.0 points and he’s also first in assists with 6.8 per game. The sharp-shooting Avery Bradley is second on the team with 15.3 points per contest and he’s shooting over 40 percent from three-point range.

Just like the Celtics, Charlotte Hornets have put together a good start to the season, posting a 15-12 record through 27 games yet are just No. 9 in the East. It seems like every day there is a conference matchup between teams who could trade spots in the standings after the game.

Kemba Walker has been the leader of the Hornets, averaging 18.0 points, 4.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. However, Charlotte has been mediocre lately, winning just 50 percent of its last 10 games and the Hornets are losers of two straight. A win against the Celtics would go a long way in getting them back on track.
