5th Round – #148 overall

Kansas City needs to get help along the offensive line, and some cheap help at that. The front wall is being played plenty on the left side with Fisher and Grubbs, so Aaron Morris would be nice depth at a good cost. Paul Fanaika has been on injured reserve all season and likely will be cut.

Morris could slide in and maybe play a year on the practice squad. He would have time to learn, sitting behind both Grubbs and either Jeff Allen or Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. Morris has good size but needs to work on his technique and footwork, something that can be taught.

5th Round – #151 overall

Malcolm Mitchell has been a productive player throughout his career at the University of Georgia, and could be a nice fit in Kansas City’s offense. Dorsey seems to love drafting kids out of Georgia, whether it be quarterback Aaron Murray, inside linebacker Ramik Wilson or wide receiver Chris Conley.

Mitchell is 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, giving him good size to play on either the outside or the slot. This year, Mitchell caught 53 passes for 751 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing good hands and surprising quickness. Mitchell could develop behind Jeremy Maclin early in his career.
