The Chargers enter this contest coming off an emotional victory over the Miami Dolphins. That they beat the Dolphins wasn’t necessarily emotional; that it came in Qualcomm Stadium certainly was. It’s looking more and more like the Chargers will never play another home game in San Diego, as a move up to Los Angeles is all but imminent.
As for the Raiders, well, they’re coming off a tightly fought loss against the Green Bay Packers. Oakland is a highly improved team, and though the playoffs aren’t a possibility they’re working towards improvement. Derek Carr has been one of the league’s top quarterbacks all season long, and Amari Cooper is the game’s next great wide receivers. One the Raiders get a better defensive backfield, look out world.
