After moving to sixth on the all-time scoring list, LeBron had some words for Dirk Nowitzki.
Wednesday night in the NBA there was a little bit of history made. In the Dallas Mavericks’ overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets, Dirk Nowitzki passed Shaquille O’Neal for sixth on the all-time scoring list, cementing his place as one of the best to ever play the game of basketball. Following the accomplishment, the congratulations started to rain in on the German star.
One of the best ones, though, waited until Thursday morning.
The morning after Dirk improved his place in the record books, LeBron James sent out his respect and congratulations to the Mavericks sharpshooter.
Congrats @swish41 on moving into 6th place All-time in scoring history. Big time accomplishment from the Big Time German stud. #Respect

Really, aside from being one of the greatest shooters the league has ever seen and most certainly the best big-man shooter there has ever been, Nowitzki is one of the more respected players in the game. Having the biggest star in the league go out of his way to congratulate you on such an accomplishment is proof-positive of that.
Ironically enough, Dirk also has one ring in his career which he won by defeating LeBron and the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals.
