Super Bowl odds: Patriots, Panthers lead way
Super Bowl odds 2016: New England Patriots getting the love.
The Super Bowl odds are always interesting to look at, and they really catch your attention this year. One would imagine that the Carolina Panthers would be the leader in the proverbial clubhouse, being undefeated after 14 games and all that. Instead, it is the New England Patriots who are leading the charge at 4/1 with Carolina following them at 9/2, per Vegas Insider.
New England has two losses by has a four-time Super Bowl champion in both the head coach and quarterback positions. Tom Brady is playing phenomenal football and he is surrounded by both his aura, and stars such as Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola. Carolina has a great defense and Cam Newton might be in the lead for the Most Valuable Player award, but he remains in the national shadows in comparison to Brady.
The Arizona Cardinals (5/1), Seattle Seahawks (6/1) and Pittsburgh Steelers (13/2) come in third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Then there are the dark horses. The Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers are both holding tight at 10/1 odds while the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs are 30/1.
With the amount of parity in the NFL this season, betting on any of those teams is a dicey call.
