Round 2: Vonn Bell, Ohio State S

Continuing to add talent on defense, safety Vonn Bell from Ohio State would be the perfect fit to add to a Bills secondary that is also looking to find its identity under Rex Ryan and a new coaching staff. One that has to deal with a division that has three capable passing quarterbacks that Buffalo face twice a season each.

Bell is a junior who could likely go into the draft this year if he is fine with going in the mid-second round and has playmaking abilities that he has shown with the Buckeyes this season. Leading the Buckeyes secondary in passes defended with 11 in 2015.

In addition to his skill in playing the ball, Bell has his aforementioned playmaking instincts that have led to two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns this season. Big plays that scouts will pay as much attention to as the pass defense talent that Bell has shown over the top during his Ohio State career.

With the Bills offense having strong starters in mostly all of their skill positions, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Buffalo take back to back defensive players to start the draft. If they go that route a safety like Bell could be a good bet, but they could go a variety of ways depending upon how the final weeks of the season shake out.

Other Options: Kendall Fuller, CB
