New Orleans Pelicans vs Miami Heat

The New Orleans Pelicans were one of the feel-good stories of the NBA last season, improving so much from the 2013-14 season and making the playoffs. Behind Anthony Davis, the best big man in the league, New Orleans looked to be on its way to an even better 2015-16 season. However, that has not been the case through two months.

Sitting near the bottom of the Western Conference, New Orleans is looking for any sort of momentum, but a 3-13 road record isn’t helping matters. Playing at Miami on Christmas Day might be the push this team needs to get back on track. Davis is still having a great year, averaging 23.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

The Miami Heat have been somewhat surprising, looking completely different from the squad that was helpless without LeBron James last season. Sitting near the top of the Eastern Conference, the Heat look to be a team that can challenge for the NBA title.

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are both dating back to the good old days when they dominated the league and Miami might be a team to watch for in May and June.
