With Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson probable for Sunday, should you start him on your fantasy team?

The big question going into this week has been whether or not Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson would play against the visiting New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

With a banged up shoulder and ankle, many were worried that Peterson could potentially miss a big game with playoff implications against the Giants on Sunday. The Vikings should have a good shot at making the playoffs, but they are still fighting for their division and the top Wild Card spot in the NFC.

According to Ian Rapoport, Peterson is probable to play on Sunday, despite his ankle and shoulder issues.

That’s a breath of fresh air for the Vikings and fantasy owners alike. Should fantasy owners start Peterson on Sunday? The answer is a resounding yes.

Peterson always puts on a show, when it comes to national television and he knows that his team needs him more than ever, if they’re going to make the playoffs.

He should be very productive for fantasy owners, as the Giants have the 21st rushing defense in the NFL. Teams can run on the Giants at will, and that should be the plan for Minnesota on Sunday night.

Even if Peterson is a little banged up, which every player is at this time of the season, he will receive a healthy dose of the football. His team is counting on him to grind out those tough yards and fantasy owner should expect him to as well.

They struggle to stop the run, which means Peterson should have a pretty big night for the Vikings. It’s the championship for many fantasy players this week, and those that have Peterson will reap the benefits of the reward with him at running back.
