One Golden State Warriors fan doesn’t want Steve Kerr back as head coach anytime soon.

The Golden State Warriors have been without their head coach Steve Kerr since the start of the season, after Kerr had back surgery in the off-season. Kerr is still dealing with complications from the surgery and Luke Walton has done a tremendous job in his place.

Walton has done such a good job guiding the Warriors out to the best start in the history of the NBA, that he has elevated himself as a top head coaching candidate in the NBA.

Some Warriors fans don’t want to lose Walton to the inevitable head coaching position that he will receive from a team after the season. One fan even went to great lengths to show his support for Walton on national television during the Warriors’ game against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas.

As cameras panned over the crowd, one fan held up a sign that said, “Fire Coach Kerr.”

The Luke Walton fandom has gone too far now. Obviously, this is most likely a joke by the fan, but in case it isn’t and there is legitimately people who feel that way, then they should know that Kerr is a great coach and they should be thankful to have him.

Walton is doing a tremendous job, but it’s Kerr who put this successful system in place that has caused the Warriors to thrive.
