Chicago Bulls vs Dallas Mavericks

If it weren’t for their poor conference record this season, the Chicago Bulls could be sitting in first place in the Eastern Conference. However, with a 7-8 record against teams from the East, the Bulls are going to take advantage of a matchup against the West’s Dallas Mavericks.

Jimmy Butler has voiced his frustration, in a somewhat controversial way, last week when he called out head coach Fred Hoiberg for not being tough enough on the team. However, the Bulls are good enough to get out of a slump and Hoiberg is one of the best up-and-coming coaches in the league. Butler, along with Derrick Rose and Co., could get back on track with a nice road win in Dallas.

Dirk Nowitzki isn’t the same type of dominant player he used to be, but the Mavericks have still been one of the top teams in the Western Conference. Just because he isn’t putting up 25 points per game doesn’t mean he’s not doing his part. Nowitzki leads the Mavs in scoring at 17.5 points per game and second with 7.0 rebounds.

Just like the Bulls, the Mavericks are just 5-5 in their last 10 games, but they desperately need a run to contend with the top three teams in the conference.
