High Salary G

Braden Holtby-Washington Capitals ($8,200): Selecting Holtby for your lineup will cause you to take a big hit on cap space, but he has proven well worth the price this season. He leads the NHL with 21 wins and has won five of his last six starts. The Capitals are hot and have won six straight games heading into today’s big Eastern Conference matchup with Montreal. The Canadiens are reeling, having lost five straight. Everything in this one is lining up to be a good night for Holtby.

Tuukka Rask-Boston Bruins ($8,000): Rask has been inconsistent this season, posting just 13 wins compared to eight losses. However, he’s won five of his last six games and gets a great matchup with Buffalo. The Sabres rank 27th in the league with an average of 2.3 goals per game. Rask will cost you a large chunk of your salary cap space but if you’re looking to pay at the goalie position tonight, go ahead and plug Rask into your lineup.

High Value G

Petr Mrazek-Detroit Red Wings ($7,100): Mrazek still has a decent price tag and can be a very valuable piece of a daily fantasy lineup. He’s been up and down this year with a record of 10-6-3 and two wins and two losses in the last four games. Though Mrazek is tough to count on night in and night out he has looked strong in his victories. Tonight he’ll go against Nashville, a team in the middle of the pack when it comes to scoring goals.

Jacob Markstrom-Vancouver Canucks ($6,400): If Markstrom gets the starting nod tonight he’ll be a great sleeper pick. Starting goalie Ryan Miller missed Vancouver’s last game with a minor injury and there hasn’t been an update on his status. Markstrom played a strong game in Miller’s absence, stopping 26 of 27 shots in a win over Tampa Bay. Tonight Vancouver faces the Edmonton Oilers who have struggled to put pucks in the net this season. With such a low price tag, using Markstrom will give you flexibility to spend at other positions, just be sure to check his status prior to the start of the contests.
