Twitter reacts to Kirk Cousins running clock out on himself
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins took a knee with no timeouts remaining and everyone lost their minds after.
Kirk Cousins might have just made the dumbest play of the season. Actually, he did just make the dumbest play of the season. With a chance to put the Philadelphia Eagles away early, Cousins had six seconds left in the half and a chance to put points on the board.
With no timeouts remaining, Cousins took a knee and ran the clock out on himself, which confused absolutely everyone watching the game. Perhaps he thought a knee was the same thing as a spike?
Anyways, the play was just so dumb, it made the Indianapolis Colts look like geniuses for their fake punt. As with every big NFL moment, Twitter absolutely lost their minds after Cousins lost his own mind on the field.

As it is very obvious to see, no one is quite sure what exactly Cousins was thinking when he decided to prevent his team from putting points up on the board.
The Redskins have a chance to clinch the NFC East with a win, but if they lose, the division is suddenly out of their hands. Remember that knee if they lose, because it could be monumental.
Kirk Cousins is used to liking things, but absolutely no one in Washington likes that move right now.
