LSU head coach Les Miles got ready for the Texas Bowl by winning a rodeo and wearing a giant cowboy hat.

Every great bowl game has their own traditions, and the Texas Bowl has one of the better traditions during bowl season. Both teams that play in the Texas Bowl each year get to go to a rodeo and have some fun.

The rodeo winner gets a giant rodeo belt, which is as awesome and giant as it should be. With the LSU Tigers and Texas Tech Red Raiders set to square off in the game, it was LSU that took the rodeo battle, as LSU head coach Les Miles came out the winner with a giant cowboy hat and rodeo belt.

Proudly wearing his hat and belt, Miles looks like a man that would fit right in as a cowboy.

Just look on the face of Miles. He knows he’s the best at the rodeo and the big cowboy hat pretty much guarantees that he is the man around these parts right now.

Not only did Miles celebrate with the rodeo belt, so did some of his players at LSU, who also took pictures with the belt.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they have to wear helmets during the Texas Bowl, because those cowboy hats sure fit them well. As for Texas Tech, it’s a bit disappointing they lost a Texas rodeo, when they live in Texas.
