Here are Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks’ picks for Week 16 of the NFL season.
Last week, Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks made some bold picks and was rewarded with an 11-5 record. That has improved Banks record to 144-80 on the season, an impressive record.
Banks has teamed up with ScoreBig once again to make picks for Week 16 of the NFL season. While there are some intriguing match ups, there is a lot of down teams this year in what has been an injury plagued season.
But still, playoff races are abundant. Here are Banks’ picks for Week 16.
Banks has the Eagles, who have been horrendous, beating a Redskins team that is making a run at the NFC East title.
The Panthers avoid having their undefeated season ruined last week against the Giants, but Banks isn’t doubting them against the Falcons this week.
The Steelers finally have a matchup that isn’t against an AFC contender, and they should cruise to a win.
Can the Cowboys beat anyone? Probably not. The Bills should win this matchup.
When you play the 2015 49ers you expect to win, and Banks expects the Lions to beat San Francisco.
The Chiefs are hot and the Browns are, well… the Browns. This seems like a no-brainer.
This is an intriguing matchup and a hard one to call. The Colts are depleted by injuries, the Dolphins are awful. Still, Banks is giving the Dolphins the edge in what might be considered an upset win.
The New England Patriots have lorded over the AFC East and while the New York Jets have been a quality team this season, but Banks still has the Patriots coming out on top.
The Texans are contending in the AFC South and will make easy work of the hapless Titans.
Both teams have been far from perfect this year, but Banks is picking the Buccaneers over the Bears.
A couple of years ago this would’ve been a no-brainer, but in 2015 it is a toss up. Banks is going with the Jaguars in this one.
The Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals are two of the best in the NFC and this is a potential championship game match up. It will be interesting to see how this game playsout and could be a barometer for how the playoffs will unfold.
The Seahawks are making a run at a Wild Card spot and get a struggling Rams team. They haven’t been as strong as in year’s past and the Seahawks should get an easy win.
The Minnesota Vikings are underrated and the New York Giants are struggling, when you look at things this way it is an easy game to pick.
This is another game that will be a measuring stick for the AFC, and one that could be a playoff match up with higher stakes. This could be a game to determine the first-round bye as well. Banks is picking the Broncos in a tight match up.
