The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their playoff berth on Sunday, beating the Cleveland Browns with a 17-13 win at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City played a rancid offensive game in the second half, failing to move the ball at all. Still the Chiefs found a way to beat the Browns, who fell to 3-12 on the year.

Alex Smith was nothing special in the air, throwing for 125 yards and a interception, albeit with two touchdowns. The Chiefs’ defense was the key to the win, constantly holding up in their own end against Johnny Manziel and his charges.

Highlights

Three Stars

1. Johnny Manziel

Manziel was terrible from the pocket, but he put on quite a display with his legs. Manziel only completed 13-of-32 for 136 yards with an interception, but he ran for 108 yards on 11 caries. With Manziel, the Browns are not even on the scoreboard.

2. Jeremy Maclin

Maclin has been one of the best pickups of the offseason, when general manager John Dorsey signed Maclin to a five-year deal for $55 million. Maclin caught a touchdown on the opening drive and set the tone for the first half, where the Chiefs built up a 14-point lead.

3. Isaiah Crowell

Crowell has struggled to get much going throughout the season, but he averaged 5.5 yards per carry and scored a touchdown in the third quarter. Crowell ran hard, going against one of the more talented front-sevens in the league.

Odds

Kansas City was favored by 11 points and did not cover the spread against a tough Cleveland team.

Next Week

The Chiefs close out the regular season against the Oakland Raiders at home, while the Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Cleveland.
