Kings star DeMarcus Cousins had to resort to the self high-five after Seth Curry left him hanging

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins is one of the most entertaining players in the entirety of the NBA, for better or worse. Not only is he one of the most talented players in the entire league, but his personality is incredibly enigmatic and polarizing while still maintaining a sort of magnetism for fans. Perhaps it’s moments like one on Sunday night against the Portland Trail Blazers that endears Cousins to fans.

In a tight game against the Blazers nearing the end of the first half, Kings guard Seth Curry was at the foul line and Cousins was looking to give his young teammate a high-five. However, Curry wasn’t paying any attention to him and left Boogie hanging. Cousins was then forced to resort to the always hilarious self high-five:

Cousins has apparently been learning under Kings backup center Kosta Koufos in the art of what to do when your teammates won’t just dap you up. Koufos initiated the beautiful practice of the self high-five earlier this season in Sacramento and now it’s spreading throughout the team.

For all the things that can be said negatively about the Kings at time, there’s at least some sort of chemistry and cohesion there in terms of lonely celebrations.
