Patriots’ Jamie Collins scoops up Jets fumble, takes it in for the TD (Video)

The Patriots got a little defensive help on Sunday against the Patriots, thanks to Jamie Collins.
When you’re playing a team the caliber of the New England Patriots, the last thing that you want to do is hand them a chance to get back in the game. If there is a team that you need to protect the ball against, especially if you have the lead, it’s the defending Super Bowl champions.
Well, the New York Jets on Sunday forgot this for a moment, and it came back to bite them dearly.
Late in the third quarter of this one with the Jets holding a 17-6 lead, Ryan Fitzpatrick dropped back to pass and the pressure was immediately in his face. The ball was knocked out of his hand as his arm was still going back. Jamie Collins was right there to find the ball and take it into the end zone for the score.
And just like that, right before the fourth quarter gets underway we have a closer ball game on our hands and the Patriots have all the momentum on their side. When you’re looking for the upset, you can’t let them have something like this, Jets.
