The controversial and explosive Al Jazeera report on sports doping has named some pretty big stars as potential cheaters.

Peyton Manning is in the news on Sunday for all the wrong reasons — HGH use. An explosive, controversial and potentially libelous report from Al Jazeera has named Manning among a handful of big name sports stars who allegedly used HGH or other growth hormone drugs during their careers.

While Manning is the biggest name outed in the report, he’s not the only name you should be paying attention to.

Basically the entire Green Bay Packers linebacking crops was named in the report for various drugs, including Clay Matthews.

To be fair to Matthews, he wasn’t directly accused of taking HGH or Delta-2, rather he was named with the use of painkillers. That’s not allowed by the NFL either, although it wouldn’t fall under the doping category so much as the illegal substances category.

Here are some of the other names that were named in the report:

Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard
Nationals first/third baseman Ryan Zimmerman
Former Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller
Packers linebacker Mike Neal (Delta-2)
Packers linebacker Julius Peppers (Delta-2)
Other Packers linebacker Clay Matthews
Steelers linebacker James Harrison (Delta-2)

James Harrison has made headlines with his feats of strength videos, while Ryan Howard has long been plagued by injuries that never seem to heal — a telltale sign of steroid use.

Of course, the report has already been slammed by Manning — who appears on NFL Sunday Countdown appearing more angry than we’ve ever seen him on camera in his carer. That calls into question the validity of this report, which we all questioned from the start, but it doesn’t change the fact that these names are out there and linked to HGH — which is bad news in a guilty until proven innocent society we live in.
