C.J. Anderson absorbed a crushing blow from Michael Johnson on Monday Night Football.

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson gave the Broncos a temporary lead with a 39-yard touchdown run earlier on Monday Night Football, but he was part of what may be a costly turnover for the Broncos. It would certainly not be easy for any player to hold onto the ball in his situation though. Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson dealt a crushing hit toward the Broncos running back to make him cough up the ball.

Anderson has since left with a back injury, and there is concern on the Broncos sideline for their running back. Anderson is currently questionable to return.

The Bengals tied the game at 17 earlier in the fourth quarter with a 52-yard field goal by kicker Mike Nugent. The Broncos caught a major break when Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green stopped just short of what would have likely been a long touchdown catch.

It remains to be seen who will come out on top in this Monday night thriller, but there is more at stake for the playoffs than ever. Both teams are still battling for a chance to join the New England Patriots on a first-round bye. The Bengals would clinch with a win while the Broncos must win out to have a chance at this advantage.
