The battle for the other first-round bye in the AFC just became even more heated after a touchdown by C.J. Anderson.

Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson has been quiet for most of the night, but he gave the Broncos a lead in the fourth quarter. The Broncos trailed the Cincinnati Bengals, 14-0, in the first quarter while their offense became quiet once again in the fourth quarter after 10 unanswered points. Their offense has come back to life in the fourth quarter, thanks to a 39-yard touchdown run by Anderson.

Here is a video of Anderson mauling through Bengals defenders for the touchdown.

The Broncos have now scored 17 unanswered points as of Anderson’s touchdown. The Broncos running back has now rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on four carries. It remains to be seen whether the Broncos defense can continue to silence a Bengals offense that has fizzled out since its fast start.

This game has heated up even more with the other first-round bye in the AFC at stake. If the Broncos can hold on for the win, they will only need a win against the San Diego Chargers to clinch the No. 2 seed.

If the Bengals can escape with a crucial road win, they will still be in contention for the No. 1 seed and clinch the other first-round bye.
