New York Giants

Grade: D+

What went right: The combination of Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the best in the game. Beckham Jr. has been getting crushed and deservedly so for being out of control and selfish at times, but he ranks among the most talented players in the league. Manning is getting up there in age but he can still spin it, especially when the offensive line is protecting. Manning and Beckham should be fantastic for the next few years.

What went wrong: The defense is no good, and the coaching staff could not figure out how to manage the clock. At some point, you would think that head coach Tom Coughlin and Co. would get it done and figure out how to use timeouts and whatnot. Instead, Coughlin’s inability to read the clock cost his team at least two games and perhaps even three.

Offseason expectations: New York might want to move on from both general manager Jerry Reese and Coughlin. The Giants need to figure out the long-term direction of this franchise and start to plan accordingly. New York has some ability to draw a nice name at coach because it has a quarterback and the market is a fantastic place to live in. The Giants are absolutely at a crossroads for the next decade.
