17. player. 28.
The Oakland Raiders are another one of those teams on the rise. After years of misery and failures, they’ve finally turned a corner. Their biggest change has come in the front office and in the draft room. Must I remind you they took a kicker in the first round? Well, they’re well past those days.

They have seem to have found a gem in Derek Carr back in the second round and made a wise decision to help him by getting Amari Cooper in last year’s first round. This is a passing offense that has climbed from the bottom of the league to the top. That’s a major change and it can all be attributed to drafting well.

On defense, there’s still a lot of work to be done. Khalil Mack will be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, but the rest of the group needs to be closely examined. The biggest hole is in the secondary, which is where this years pick will come from. The Raiders go with Mackensie Alexander from Clemson. With Jalen Ramsey and Vernon Hargreaves III off the board, they go with the next best guy at that position in Alexander. While he doesn’t have competitive size, his ball skills and fluidity as a runner are strong.

Previous Pick: Mackensie Alexander, CB
. Cornerback. Clemson. Mackensie Alexander
