Offensive Line. LSU. Vadal Alexander. 24. player. 60.
The Minnesota Vikings are a team rising from mediocrity and into perennial playoff contention. With Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson running the offense, the Vikings could be that team that quietly makes a run this year if they can gain some momentum. The draft gem Stefon Diggs out of Maryland has also become a major part to this Vikings offense.

Defensively Minnesota has performed well enough to wait on a pick. While it’s not a great group, they’ve shown just enough so that Minnesota can hold off on drafting depth.

While Bridgewater has had success this year, the Vikings need to do a better job of protecting him. Their offensive line has allowed 42 sacks this year and help is needed across the line. Also, right guard Mike Harris has an expiring contract, so the need for a starting right guard makes this need even greater.

Vadal Alexander from LSU can come in with some great versatility and start at either offensive tackle or guard on day one in Minnesota and provide adequate protection for Bridgewater. Besides the versatility, Alexander is a strong run blocker. Whether that’s for Peterson or Bridgewater, he can do the job well enough to consistently start in the NFL.

Previous Pick: Myles Jack, OLB
