42. <p>With the benching of Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers made it clear that they would be looking for a new face to lead their now crippled franchise forward. The organization has clearly made the wrong move letting Jim Harbaugh go and they are paying dearly for it as Jim Tomsula carries this team towards another disappointing season.</p> <p>While the San Francisco defense could also use some playmakers, the value wasn’t there with the opportunity to take a potential franchise quarterback in the early first round. They will have the opportunity to fix either the offensive line or defense in the early second round.</p> <p>After missing out on hometown star Jared Goff early in the draft, San Francisco selects Paxton Lynch out of Memphis. Goff and Lynch were essentially 1A and 1B on my quarterback big board as we enter the draft season, so San Francisco isn’t missing too much. One of Lynch’s advantages is his size. He’s about two inches and 20 pounds bigger than Goff. He also has some added mobility, which is just an added bonus at this point.
