Eric Bledsoe will miss rest of the season after successful knee surgery
Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
The Phoenix Suns were dealt a heavy blow, as the team announced via their official twitter account that star guard Eric Bledsoe will miss the rest of the season after undergoing successful surgery to repair his torn meniscus. Bledsoe suffered the non-contact injury in the Suns 114-104 loss to the lowly Philadelphia 76ers over the weekend.
Bledsoe also sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee during the the 2013-14 season. The former Kentucky Wildcat missed 33 games that season and now it seems that he will miss another large chunk of time with the exact same injury in the opposite knee.

This comes at an especially difficult period for the Suns who have slipped to 12th in the West with a record of 12-21 and currently suffering through a 5 game skid. Bledsoe was averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 4 rebounds this season according to Basketball-Reference.com.
Along with Brandon Knight, Bledsoe created a potent back-court combination although the two weren’t able to raise their squad out of the doldrums of the Western Conference.
