WR. Baylor. Corey Coleman. 19. player. 44.
Upset of the Carolina Panthers not withstanding, it’s been a struggle for the Atlanta Falcons offense in the second half of the season. Despite improvements to both their offensive line and the running game, it is clear that the passing attack has regressed almost to basic game of catch between Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.

Jones has 127 catches on the season for 1,722 yards and eight touchdowns. That is otherworldly from an individual standpoint, until one realizes it’s because the ball is always being thrown his way. The next leading receiver on the Falcons offense is running back Devonta Freeman with 71 catches for 560 yard and then tight end Jacob Tamme with 55 for 596. They have no No. 2 receiver defenses must account for.

That is why the Falcons go after Corey Coleman out of Baylor. He may not look like much, standing only 5’10, but the kid has the great equalizers of speed, quickness and agility. He can take a defense deep on the bombs or get a quick pass and use his ability to make defenders miss as a runner. A true versatile weapons that can be lined up in a number of different ways to take advantages of Jones’ presence.
