DT. Baylor. Andrew Billings. 20. player. 36.
John Schneider and Pete Carroll have established the trend for who the Seattle Seahawks are. If there is a talented player out there and it doesn’t cripple the infrastructure to go get him, they will show zero hesitation in doing whatever it takes to do so. They’ve proven that on multiple occasions since taking over the team in 2010.

Defensively there isn’t a lot to complain about with the Seahawks given it remains the strength of their team. Still, there are areas that could do with improvements both in terms of talent and depth. Defensive tackle is one such area where they really have no definitive standout and have gotten by with decent role players such as Ahtyba Rubin and Brandon Mebane.

They could really use a significant presence inside to take heat off their edge rushers. Say hello to Andrew Billings. This kid out of Baylor is a powerhouse built for the 4-3 scheme because of his ability to both anchor against the run and deliver a strong pass rush from the interior. He boasts natural leverage that makes him difficult to block. As long as he’s not asked to chase ball carriers down, he can be a force.
