DE. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 3. player. 59.
There are a few things to remember here. The Miami Dolphins signed Ndamukong Suh to a massive new contract, but in order to maximize his value to the team they have to make sure he’s not forced to do all the work up front. They need talented bodies around him in order turn that defense into the force it should’ve been this year. That means having quality edge rushers who can take advantage of his presence in the middle.

Cameron Wake should’ve been that guy but the veteran pass rusher is aging and now dealing with the difficult task of returning from a season-ending injury. To top it off, Olivier Vernon, their other key guy, is expected to hit free agency due to salary cap limitations along with rumors he wants out. This could leave the defensive end spot in dire straits for a team expecting to compete for the Super Bowl.

So they bite the bullet, put together a hefty trade package and go up to get the best pass rusher in the draft. Joey Bosa is a big, long, aggressive and talented defensive end from Ohio State. He’s strong enough to stop the run and exhibits the violent hands and non-stop motor to beat blockers consistently and get to the quarterback. He’s a perfect fit for that Dolphins 4-3 scheme.
