7. player. 13.
Ask the question what is wrong with the San Diego Chargers and there could be a number of different answers. Still, if there is one area that might receive the most votes for being a constant pain, it’s the offensive line. Limited talent and injuries have played havoc with it the past few years and have put a ceiling on what they can do, especially in the ground game.

The Chargers are dead last in the NFL running the football at 83 yards per game. This after investing a 1st round draft pick in Melvin Gordon at running back. That means they aren’t getting consistent push up front with every single position on the struggling line. If not for Rivers’ ability to get the ball out fast, things would be even uglier than they currently are.

What makes Ronnie Stanley such a prime choice isn’t just the fact he’s a proven left tackle for a top program who is top tier in both talent and technique. He is also a good athlete with versatility. He could play either tackle spot but also kick inside to one of the guard positions. Essentially he’s capable of plugging in wherever he’s needed most. Exactly what the Chargers could hope for.
. OT. Notre Dame. Ronnie Stanley
