No. 6 Xavier Musketeers vs No. 16 Villanova Wildcats
As one of just a handful of undefeated teams left in the country this season, the No. 6 Xavier Musketeers have proven to be one of the hottest teams in college basketball. With a 12-0 record on the line, they’ll be forced to take on one of the top teams in the Big East on the road.

Looking to start the Big East season 1-0 and begin the road to the Final Four, Xavier will need to rely on guys like Trevon Bluiett, Edmond Sumner, Myles Davis, James Farr and Jalen Reynolds. Xavier will be looking to improve to 13-0 with a big road win.
The No. 16 Villanova Wildcats have had a couple of hiccups this season, losing two games to top-10 opponents in Oklahoma and Virginia, so it’s tough to really gauge how good they really are. Villanova has struggled to consistently hit shots this season, knocking down just 31 percent from long-range.
Josh Hart leads all scorers with 14.8 points along with 7.2 rebounds per game while knocking down a team-high 37.7 percent of his three-pointers. Three other Wildcats average over 10 points per game and they’ll be looking to get Big East play off on the right foot. A win against their third top-10 opponent of the season would go a long way in terms of confidence.
