New York Knicks vs Chicago Bulls

The New York Knicks aren’t playing well in recent weeks after starting the season with a winning record and a decent position in the Eastern Conference Standings. Now at 15-18, the Knicks have some ground to make up as they’re just 12th in the conference and looking to make up 3.5 games to get back into the eighth-place conversation.

It’s still early in the season, but teams never want to lose traction early as it’s tough to make up later on. Still, though, the Knicks have been a pleasant surprise after years of being the league’s laughing stock. Carmelo Anthony might lead the team in scoring, but rookie Kristaps Porzingis has been the real story this year.

Shortly after Jimmy Butler stated that head coach Fred Hoiberg needed to be harder on the team, the Bulls seemed to get it together. Chicago has won three out of its last four games coming off a rough three-game losing streak not too long ago and it’s now sitting at 18-12 and just three games out of first in the East.

Butler leads the team in scoring with 21 points per contest while Pau Gasol has been a monster in the post, averaging 16.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. This teams has a realistic shot at winning the East and taking down the Cleveland Cavaliers.
