3. New York Jets

The New York Jets have frequented the list of teams on upset alert, yet they keep winning. However, why not throw them one last time when they have everything to play for. If the Jets win on Sunday, they are going to the NFL Playoffs. If they lose and then the Pittsburgh Steelers pick up a win over the lowly Cleveland Browns (a likely outcome), though, the Jets are left on the outside looking in.

There’s no doubt that Todd Bowles and the Jets will come into this game looking to control their own destiny rather than put it in the hands of the Browns. However, their Week 17 opponent in the Buffalo Bills will unquestionably have an upset in mind. Not only will the Bills be at home in a likely hostile Ralph Wilson Stadium, but they are also taking this matchup to heart as Rex Ryan tries to pick up a win against his former team in the Jets (especially after already losing to them previously this year).

The Jets have been great over their current five-game winning streak with their defense being predictably dominant and Ryan Fitzpatrick playing the best football of his NFL career. While Buffalo may be a bit banged up heading into this matchup, I think they are going to get up more for this game than even the team with their playoff chances hanging in the balance and, ultimately, spoil the postseason for the Jets.
