The Cleveland Browns are reportedly set to fire head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer
The Cleveland Browns have been their predictably lackluster and disappointing selves throughout the 2015 NFL season with the Johnny Manziel saga continuing and the performance on the field for the team as a whole playing out less than ideally. Someone was always going to be held responsible for the team’s shortcomings and those people are apparently head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer.
On Saturday night prior to the Browns’ season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported that the Browns are “likely” to fire both Pettine and Farmer with the firings happening as soon as Sunday night after Cleveland’s Week 17 game:

Coming into the Week 17 matchup with Pittsburgh, the Browns are 3-12 and have lost nine of their last 10 games. They also rank next to last in both points for and points against in the NFL this season, which would explain how they went about losing 12 games through 15 games this season.
They’ll have a high draft pick to work with because of their lack of success this season, but it’s going to take much more than that to address all of the needs that this Browns team has. They need to completely restructure the roster and the organization as a whole. In that regard, it’s hard to blame owner Jimmy Haslam for making the move to dismiss his head coach and general manager and start moving forward.
