Real Madrid star, Isco, could end up at Manchester City.
Manchester City have not had the greatest start to the season, as it rang in the new year sitting in third place with 36 points. However, the Citizens are not giving up hope on winning the Premier League for the third time in five seasons, and have their eye on some big money moves in January.
One of those moves could include Real Madrid’s Isco. According to Goal UK, the young Spaniard is not happy at his current club with Rafa Benitez at the helm, and could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu in January. Although Los Blancos paid a hefty €30 million for the 23-year-old back in June 2013, Carlo Ancelotti was the head coach at the time and it was a different era at the club.
Real Madrid have struggled under Benitez this year, currently sitting third in the La Liga table, and were embarrassed by Barcelona at home back in November. While they did manage to win their UEFA Champions League group, they have already been eliminated from the Copa del Rey after fielding an ineligible player.
The Citizens undoubtedly have the funds to pull off a January move for the attacking midfielder, and he could be a huge pickup for them as they continue their push for silverware. Even though Isco has just one goal and three assists this season, he is a tremendous player who could benefit from a change of scenery.
The talented youngster has played his entire career in Spain’s La Liga, featuring for the likes of Valencia and Malaga before joining Real Madrid.
