Boston police seized multiple weapons at Gillette Stadium during the 2016 Winter Classic, including a meat cleaver and swords.
Boston police arrested a man from Connecticut on Friday, January 1st after they found numerous weapons in his car at the 2016 Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium. He was acting suspiciously and was arrested by police after they found the weapons.
What do we have here? Swords, a stun gun, and a meat cleaver. Who brings a meat cleaver with them to the Winter Classic? Seriously.

"The Foxborough Police Department posted a picture of the items Saturday morning and determined that there had been no threat to Gillette Stadium or during the hockey game, when the Canadiens defeated the Bruins 5-1.Matthew Bromson, 48, of North Granby, Conn. was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including trespassing, possession of an electric stun gun, disorderly conduct and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, police said. In 2014, he was reportedly involved in an almost-nine-hours-long standoff with police, after they tried to serve an outstanding warrant at his home in Granby, Conn."
The Montreal Canadiens beat the host Boston Bruins 5-1 in the Winter Classic. The New England Patriots play the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, January 2nd so we’ll have to see if anything happens on Saturday.
