After a major snowstorm in Lubbock, the roof of the Texas Tech athletic center submitted.

The state of Texas always has some of the strangest weather. With a vast state and different parts of the state facing different types of weather, there always seems to be some major storm rolling through somewhere in the state.

Recently some winter weather really pounded Lubbock, which caused the roof of the Texas Tech athletic center to collapse and deflate after the sheer amount of the weight of the snow brought it down.

Fortunately, no one was hurt when the roof collapsed.

It’s certainly reminiscent of the time the roof collapsed in Minnesota at the Metrodome. It’s always an incredible yet terrifying scene to see a roof cave in, but that’s what happens when nature decides to take it’s toll.

The tear was reportedly caused by a tear on the south side of the ATC, according to Lubbock Online.

"Tech officials said a large tear on the south side of the ATC caused the deflation. Freezing temperatures and ice accumulation prevented the removal of snow and ice throughout the week, according to Tech officials."

The weather seems to never relent in Texas. Whether it’s a flood, tornado or incredible snowstorm like this one, there’s always something going on.
