San Francisco 49ers 2016 schedule.

The San Francisco 49ers are a terrible team. The kind of team that makes you want to hate football. After having a run of three consecutive NFC title games in their grasp, the 49ers went 8-8 in 2014 and decided to part ways with head coach Jim Harbaugh. San Francisco then decided to promote Jim Tomsula, who had no prior head coaching experience anywhere. Somehow, this seemed like a great idea.

Of course, Tomsula is probably gone after one year in which the 49ers went 5-111 and looked absolutely miserable. San Francisco finished last in 2015, which could not have come as a shock to anybody after the team watched Patrick Willis, Chris Borland, Aldon Smith, Mike Iupati, Anthony Davis, Chris Culliver, Frank Gore, Justin Smith and Michael Crabtree all leave. Can the 49ers improve in 2016? Here’s the schedule they will be up against:

This is going to be a challenging schedule for San Francisco. Any time you have to play the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers, along with the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals for a quarter of your season, it won’t be easy. The 49ers also have to visit the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams, a pair of winnable games.
