With Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg declaring for the draft, these 5 teams would be the perfect NFL fit for him.

After Penn State fell to Georgia in the TaxSlayer Bowl, quarterback Christian Hackenberg declared for the 2016 NFL Draft. It comes as no surprise, as many had once tabbed Hackenberg as a top quarterback prospect for the draft.

His stock has since fallen a bit, but there exists a chance that he could be a second-day draft pick or an early third-day selection. Teams will certainly take a chance on Hackenberg with a mid-round pick, as he has the size and arm that NFL coaches and general managers tend to love.

When it comes to the NFL Draft, there always exists the possibility of panic trades, where teams might move up in a round or back into a round to take a guy a little earlier than he normally would go on most draft boards. The Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns know all about that strategy quite well.

Hackenberg is going to need to work on his accuracy and staying healthy on the field, which was a bit of a minor problem for him at Penn State. He’s also going to need a steady offensive line to function behind, which is something that he didn’t have in final season at Penn State.

Hackenberg is going to be one of those classic big arm boom or bust picks. It’s going to take the right situation to make him a good quarterback in the NFL. With that in mind, these are five perfect fits for Christian Hackenberg in the NFL.
