The Jacksonville Jaguars season is over, but who will they play in 2016?

It was an alright season for the Jaguars, which ended about as mundanely as it always does but somehow managed to be a little more positive that years before.

Blake Bortles seems to be progressing — as slowly as he might be coming along — and the Jaguars were almost in the playoff hunt for the entire season. That being said, there is work that needs to be done before Jacksonville is a contender, even in a poor AFC South, and the work starts with analyzing their next season schedule.

Here’s a look at who the Jacksonville Jaguars will play in the 2016 season:

You’ll be hard pressed to see any of those Jaguars games aired in primetime in 2016. There’s always the chance they get flexed late in the season, but even that is hard to imagine given the distance the team needs to go before they’re any good. That being said, there are positive things to take away from this season for the Jaguars, and their schedule next year isn’t totally impossible.

Some upgrades in the draft and in free agency might be all it takes to make the Jaguars competitive in the AFC South in a way they almost became this year.
