The Jets have been one of the great surprises of this NFL season, as they’re right on the cusp of a playoff berth miraculously. Yes, this New York Jets team – the one that was left a scorched earth in the wake of Rex Ryan’s departure and the offseason drama with Geno Smith being knocked the f–k out – is a game away from the second season. This is what happens when the defense comes to play ball, and Chris Ivory runs like a man possessed.

As for the the Buffalo Bills and the aforementioned Ryan, well, this was a stepping stone year. At times the Bills have looked damn near unbeatable; other times they’ve looked like peasants. Really, the team has hardly been healthy all year and the greatest success has come when all its playmakers have made the field.

The Jets look primed for the postseason, but they have a plucky team standing in their way.
