San Diego Chargers 2016 schedule.

The San Diego Chargers might not exist in their current form by the time this schedule needs to be played, but there will be a team in some design. San Diego might be losing the Chargers after 55 years in the same city, perhaps back to their original city of Los Angeles. Should that be the case, there might be division realignment, but that topic is for another article.

San Diego finished 2015 in last place of the AFC West, something that is not going to make many fans (regardless of city) very happy. However, the last-place finish will actually help the Chargers going forward. Because of their dismal season, San Diego will draw both the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins, with both of those teams finishing last in their respective divisions. Here is how the rest of the schedule plays out…

The Chargers has nowhere to hide at home, with the Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and their divisional opponents, including the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers are trying to turn things around, and perhaps will start making some moves in the coaching ranks to find the recipe for success. This schedule will help the cause, but the home games could put a damper on making the playoffs in 2016.
