Will Fuller will be heading off to the NFL following an outstanding Notre Dame career.
Another big name has been added to the 2016 NFL Draft class, as on Sunday Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver Will Fuller officially announced his intention to enter the fold come this spring.
Fuller was one of the most explosive offensive players in all of college football this season in helping lead the Irish to a Fiesta Bowl berth against the Ohio State Buckeyes, a game in which they lost after putting up a valiant comeback effort. Fuller would pull in an 81-yard touchdown catch in that game on New Year’s Day.
The last two seasons Fuller has been one of the best wide receivers in all of college football. His sophomore year last season he hauled in 76 passes for 1,094 yards and 15 touchdowns. This season, his catch number dropped down to 62, but they went for a total of 1,258 yards and 14 touchdowns. He did all of this while playing with two quarterbacks this season. Malik Zaire started the year, but after going down with an ankle injury, DeShone Kizer stepped in but Fuller didn’t miss a beat. He was as explosive as ever.
Fuller could indeed be an outstanding threat on the right team. His speed in getting down the field is rivaled by very few in college football, and should he join a team in the pro ranks that likes to throw the ball down the field, he could be a name that NFL fans get to know rather quickly.
