Chuck Pagano will be sticking around as the head coach of the Colts and he’ll be there for a while.

If there was one thing that a lot of people were certain of, it was the fact that Monday would signal the last day for Chuck Pagano as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. With rumors swirling last week that if the team did not make the playoffs he would be on the outs, it seemed like a near certainty that the two sides would part ways.

Well, everyone was treated to quite the shock late Monday night when the Colts announced that not only would Pagano not be going anywhere, but they have signed him to a contract extension.

So, just what is the extension for the Colts head coach? It’s actually for four years, so the team is making a definitive statement that he is indeed their man.

Yeah, that right there is making that statement you have your guy. It should also be noted that they signed GM Ryan Grigson to an extension as well on Monday.

But, the main focus here was Pagano, someone a lot of people did not want to see go. With all the team dealt with this season, no one really saw a good reason for he and the team to mutually part ways.

All things considered, the team made a lot of people happy on Monday night.
