FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 4
Check out my FanDuel daily picks as you get ready for a big Monday night basketball schedule with ten games in the NBA.
As we start off the first work week of the New Year, the NBA will be busy tonight giving us ten games to pick from as we put together our DFS fantasy basketball teams for Monday. The two most interesting games of the night feature the teams from the NBA Finals last season as the Warriors host the Hornets in the late game in Oakland after the Cavs face the Raptors in a good Eastern Conference matchup. Those are just two of the games to look at tonight, though, on a board full of fantasy basketball options. To help you find the hottest players in the best matchups, I’ve listed my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides.

Tonight’s action gets underway at 7:00 PM ET with the Cavs-Raptors game as well as the Timberwolves visiting the 76ers in Ish Smith’s first home game since returning to Phily. At 7:30, the Celtics visit the Nets who will be without Jarrett Jack the rest of the season while at the same time the Pistons host Orlando and the Pacers visit Miami to face the Heat. At 8:00, two more games get underway as the Thunder take on the Kings and the Bucks host the Spurs. In a pair of solid Western Conference matchups the Rockets head to Salt Lake City to take on the Jazz and the Grizzlies are in Portland to face the Blazers. The final game of the night tips off at 10:30 as the Warriors look to improve to 32-2 overall and 17-0 at home as they host Steph Curry’s hometown team from Charlotte. Whether Curry himself will be able to play is still up in the air, but it should be a good game to watch tonight whether Steph can get on the court or the supporting cast has to step like they have been lately.
With those 20 teams taking the floor tonight, there are lots of different ways to build your roster for this Monday. I’ve sifted through the options and selected my favorites for my FanDuel daily picks. Here’s what to expect on the following slides: you will find a slide for high-salary options and a slide for high-value options at each position. On each slide, you’ll find at least two players with a few extras thrown in wherever possible. I base my picks on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face. To see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for tonight’s contests, scroll to the last slide of the post where you’ll find two of my lineups that I’m putting cash on tonight.
