Charlotte Hornets vs Golden State Warriors

As one of 10 teams in the Eastern Conference that are over .500 on the season, the Charlotte Hornets are looking to string together a nice run and make a bid at a playoff berth by the end of the year. Currently riding a three-game losing streak, the Hornets are also just 3-7 in their last 10 games, desperate to end their slump.

The addition of Nicolas Batum has proven to be big for Charlotte, putting up the second-highest point total per game on the year, averaging 16.3 points, while shooting 37 percent from three-point range. Kemba Walker is the real star of this team, though, as he leads the team with 19.2 points per game.

Coming off their second loss in the past 10 games, the Warriors are still off to the hottest start in franchise history and in recent NBA history, posting a 31-2 to begin the year. Right now, they’re on pace to finish about 77-5, which would shatter the Chicago Bulls’ previous record season of 72-10. With Steph Curry healthy, that is totally possible.

Curry came back for the Warriors’ Saturday night game against the Nuggets at home and he helped lead them past Denver in overtime. Draymond Green also had a fantastic game, scoring 29 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing 14 assists with four steals — the first such line since Larry Bird did so back in 1987.
