Pistons forward Marcus Morris and Pacers forward Paul George have been fined for getting into it after the game.

Any time the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons do battle on the court, there is going to be tension.

Tension flared up again on Saturday, when the Pacers defeated the Pistons at home. With time running out in the game and the Pacers having the game in hand, Pistons forward Marcus Morris took exception to how hard George was playing with the lead.

George, who had felt Andre Drummond unnecessarily went hard against his teammates the play prior, decided to play until the whistle as well. This led to the hot-tempered Morris shoving George at the end of the game, before both teams clashed at center court.

Neither player has been suspended for the incident, but both have been fined by the NBA. For being the extra agressive of the two, Morris was fined $15,000, while George was fined $10,000.

For Morris, it isn’t a good look, as he still has a felony assault case hanging over his head and he still takes chances to stab his old team, the Phoenix Suns, in the back with comments whenever he gets. So with once again making himself the focal point of another controversial moment, his image on the wrong side of things.

As for George, it probably would have been better to just let things go as one of the superstars of the game. The Pacers had the game in hand and should have just let things be, as the Pistons played hard until the final whistle.

Instead, tempers flared and now both guys are paying some money back to the league for it.
