Nik Stauskas clears Timberwolves defense with monster slam (Video)
Philadelphia 76ers guard Nik Stauskas threw down a monster slam on the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ defense.
The young Minnesota Timberwolves are known for putting other teams on posters with young players such as Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine. The Philadelphia 76ers are a young team that usually has other teams throwing down poster slams on them.
On Monday night, the roles were finally reversed and the 76ers, who have been seeing incremental improvement lately, finally threw down a poster slam of their own.
With Nik Stauskas out patrolling around the three-point line like he usually is, took a beautiful dish from point guard Ish Smith, who pulled the Timberwolves defenders away from Stauskas and the hoop.
With a clear lane ahead of him, Stauskas took off and threw down a big two-handed slam.
"An Ish dish with a side of dunking Sauce."
They call him “Sauce” for a reason, and that sauce was red hot, as Stauskas brought the heat to the Timberwolves. It’s weird seeing both Kevin Garnett and Karl Anthony-Towns getting out of the way from someone coming into the paint, but low and behold, it was Stauskas of all people to clear the Timberwolves’ defenders out of there.
He might be known for shooting threes, but Stauskas can put a team on the wrong side of a highlight reel as well on occasion.
